The biggest plus for us was that no one could see you, so if you are a little shy or anxious, no one will see you (providing you remember to close your curtains!), and if you make a mistake, no one is there to laugh at you!

How We Tested P.volve 

I have always been a lover of fitness. I enjoy long walks, kickboxing, pilates, HIIT, dance – you name it, I’ve probably enjoyed it as a form of exercise. 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

So, when I heard about P.volve taking the world by storm (you’ve got to trust anything that Gwenyth Paltrow’s Goop approves 🤩), I just had to try it. 

The website offers a seven day free trial for workouts, live virtual classes, advice from a physical therapist, and a 1:1 session with a trainer. I jumped at the chance and started my free trial. 

I made the most of this week of free workouts and extras, and I certainly felt a burn while doing so! However, I did feel like a lot of the classes required equipment that I did not yet have. 

Still, the free trial is excellent for anyone looking for an introduction into P.volve. 

I took the quiz on P.volve’s website (you all know how much I love a quiz by now! 😎) and purchased its recommendation of The Essentials Kit. Here’s what I received:

Pure Barre only offers in-person classes, in which you will be exercising with a group of other people. It uses lots of ballet-inspired movements, which not everyone can practice effectively. 🩰🩰

On the other hand, P.volve offers a number of different workouts that can be completed by beginners to advanced users. 

Barre does offer a more personal touch of being able to work with your instructor. They will be able to customize your workouts to help you most, and your instructor will be able to help your form as you’re exercising. 

This cannot be offered with P.volve. However, you are able to talk to movement specialists who can help you with form and any worries you have. While not quite the same as an in-person instructor, this can help you become more comfortable and confident with your movements. 💪🤩
